10 Steps to One Perfect Day in NYC

Let's go!

Get up early & watch the sunrise over lower Manhattan. I recommend nabbing a room on an upper floor of Hotel Motto by Hilton in Lower Manhattan for a dazzling sunrise experience.

1. Watch the sunrise

2. Grab a Coffee

in Chelsea

New York City's Chelsea neighborhood is teeming with great coffee. Grab a cold brew or cappuccino at Try East One BKLN or Variety Coffee Roasters to fuel your NYC day out.

3. Eat an NYC Bagel

at Zucker's Bagels & Smoked Fish

When in New York, eating bagels is a must. I love a salt bagel with butter. Alternatively, ask for whatever is hot & fresh out of the oven.

4. Madison Sq Park

Let's begin our architecture walk...

I love the skyscrapers peeking out among the trees in Madison Square Park including the iconic Flatiron Building.

5. Walk uptown

via Fifth Avenue

If you love Art Deco architecture like I do, Fifth Avenue near Central Park is the place to be. Make sure to stop and look up at Rockefeller Center.

6. walk downtown

via Park Avenue

Prepare for Art Deco overload with a walk on Park Ave. The accents at the top of the towers are breathtaking. Look for Grand Central Terminal, an architectural marvel.

7. grab a NY slice

at Uncle Paul's Pizza on Vanderbilt

New York City is famous for pizza so stop & grab a proper slice. Paul's Pizza has it all: a foldable crust & just the right mix of cheese & sauce.

8. Happy Hour time!

Another NYC must do is to go out for a cocktail. The Giallo cocktail at Hotel Motto is made with gin, limoncello, creme de cacao, green chartreuse & lime juice. Very refreshing!

9. dine in the west village

at Hudson Clearwater

Reserve a table in Hudson Clearwater's back garden. Grab a cocktail & then graze on a selection of starters & desserts. You've already eaten a lot today.

10. watch the sunset

over lower Manhattan

The sun sets late enough in NYC in summer so head to the hotel after dinner. At other times of year, watch the sunset before dinner.
