We are exploring how the natural world can be experienced online.

It seems odd at first: the natural world looks very different from what we experience online.

But in times when our ability to go outside and experience nature is limited, we have to be creative.

In this experience, you will meditate while looking at images based on a journey across the Bass Strait in a kayak taken by Haileybury teacher Tamsin Visick.

Tamsin travelled across this challenging piece of water over 19 days crossing from little Musscleroe Bay in Tasmania to Port Welshpool in Victoria.

You will view images and play audio created by Amazon Polly, a service that translates text into speech.

19 Days at Sea is an audio/visual experiment from HaileyburyX.

Each screen will play an audio of a guided meditation with an image for you to view.

The screens will forward automatically, or you can choose to advance them manually.

If you are viewing on a mobile device, touching your screen on the right will advance the screen, and on the left, go back a screen.

Remember to turn on the sound to hear the meditation.

Later versions of 19 Days at Sea will provide you with the ability to change the voice you hear and to interact with images.
