Will Smith divides public: ‘We are not going to do this to a Black man’

Smith, 53, stunned Oscars 2022 spectators and spectators alike when he took to the stage on

Twitter was divided over Smith's cancellation, especially since other Oscar winners like Roman Polanski,

Harvey Weinstein and many more have reportedly done other unspeakable acts — and still have their trophies.

Some are calling for the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" actor to be disciplined. “I call on the Academy,

of which I am a member, to take disciplinary action against Will Smith. He insulted our entire community tonight,” tweeted writer Marshall Herskowitz.

Another chimed in and responded to Herskowitz's words: "I can assure you that your community has influenced many more people than Will Smith.
