Travis Barker was reportedly admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for pancreatitis

According to Insider, doctors assumed the Blink-182 singer's illness was caused by a recent colonoscopy.

Several research reports suggested that colonoscopy is a "colon cancer screening test recommended for men over the age of 45.

"Colonoscopy-induced pancreatitis is so rare that the report should be taken with a grain of salt," said the New York-based gastroenterologist.
