Delhi’s Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has been arrested by the CBI after an eight-hour-long interrogation in the Delhi liquor scam case.
On 17 November 2021, the Delhi government implemented the new liquor policy in the state. Under this, 32 zones were created in the capital .
In the new liquor policy, all liquor shops in Delhi were made private. Earlier, 60 per cent of liquor shops in Delhi were government owned .
The new liquor policy is accused of causing loss to both the public and the government, big liquor are being said to be benefited.
